The bomb fell on Tuesday afternoon: Disney will remove its content from Netflix, but will do so until 2019. This is the first step towards the creation of its own content streaming platform, which will be released in the same year.
This is a news that many put sad because it represents farewell to a great catalog of productions, although fortunately there is still time to enjoy them as we already mentioned will be in a little more than a year that will happen. However, in the case of Latin America the situation will be very different.
The official account of Netflix Latam has confirmed that the content of Disney remains in the Latin American catalog of the platform, this is because the rights of the titles work differently in each region. In short, Disney will remove its content from Netflix is United States, but in Mexico we will still enjoy it.
This leads us to speculate a bit about the availability of the new Disney streaming platform, which may not reach this part of the world, at least not at the time of its launch.
Be that as it may, followers of Disney productions can rest assured that the content of Mickey Mouse's house will continue to be available for a long, long time in the crimson giant of streaming.
